Most common magnet-utilizing fun household item is a magnet board. It is a small board where most important notes, pretty souvenirs, and other cool stuff are posted. It is composed of a metal board, with magnetized accessories.
It is easy to make a magnet board at home. You can easily do this DIY project with less than 5 materials. All you need are thin metal sheets, cover designs for the sheets like linen, fabric, or hard papers/ cartons. You can also add wood framings to cover the edges. These materials are available in the hardware stores nearest you.
First step is to think of the design of your magnetic board. You have to choose the size, shape and color of the end-product. Next is to cut the metal sheet based on the shape of your choice. You can do this using a metal cutter. Then, cover your metal sheet with the material of your choice. You can use a glue gun to secure the fabric, paper or linen in place. Framings are optional, but if you want to add a classic, portrait like appeal to your magnetic board, you can choose to cover all four sides with wood frames.
